Nach intensiven Ermittlungen der Abteilung 4 des Landeskriminalamtes Berlin im
Auftrag der Staatsanwaltschaft Berlin vollstreckten gestern Abend ab 19 Uhr
rund 400 Einsatzkräfte des Landeskriminalamtes, mehrerer Polizeidirektionen und
zweier Bereitschaftspolizeiabteilungen in den Bezirken Pankow, Reinickendorf,
Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, Mitte, Neukölln, Steglitz-Zehlendorf, Lichtenberg
und Marzahn-Hellersdorf insgesamt 20 Durchsuchungsbeschlüsse. Die Ermittlungen
wegen des Verdachts des schweren Menschenhandels und des gewerbsmäßigen
Einschleusens von Ausländern richten sich gegen elf Männer im Alter von 23 bis
57 Jahren sowie sieben Frauen im Alter von 26 bis 66 Jahren. Die Beschuldigten
sollen mindestens elf unerlaubt in Deutschland aufhältige Frauen aus Vietnam in
Berliner Wohnungen untergebracht und hier zur Prostitution veranlasst haben, um
sich durch das Einbehalten von Mieteinnahmen und Prostitutionserlösen zu
bereichern. Die Durchsuchungen führten unter anderem zum Auffinden von rund
43.000 Euro mutmaßlichen Taterlösen, diversen Datenträgern, Finanzunterlagen
sowie über 20 verschiedenen Reisepässen. Darüber hinaus fanden die
Einsatzkräfte einen Schlagring, einen Teleskopschlagstock und illegale
Pyrotechnik
Im Zuge der Maßnahme trafen die Einsatzkräfte zehn der 18
Beschuldigten an. Darunter befand sich auch der 33-jährige Hauptverdächtige,
der bei den polizeilichen Maßnahmen Widerstand leistete. Dabei wurde ein
Polizeibeamter leicht verletzt, konnte seinen Dienst jedoch fortsetzen.
Insgesamt sind 12 Personen erkennungsdienstlich behandelt worden, darunter acht
Personen, die dem Landesamt für Einwanderung überstellt wurden, da sie sich
unerlaubt in Deutschland aufhielten. Nach Abschluss der Maßnahmen wurden alle
