Eden showed me today in confidence a Cabinet message from Burma which stated that Burma was willing if called upon to participate as a member of a supervisory commission in Indochina, although they could contribute little in the way of troops. It went on to state that Burma was also prepared, in the event the Geneva conference failed, to join a Southeast Asian security pact.
